Sexual Health

University life brings with it the opportunity to meet countless students.

Living away from home for the first time and the inevitable boozy nights on the tiles, means that there will be sexual conquests taking place in the halls of residence and student clubs across the city.

If you are participating in such frivolity then you need to make sure that you do it safely. The last thing that you want to take with you on your first visit home is a sexually transmitted disease!

Student Guru strongly recommends using the Centres for Sexual Health. These are specialist outpatient clinics that provide a whole array of sexual health services. Everything that is discussed here is confidential, treatment is free of charge and they are usually found in most university towns.

Remember to play safe and use a condom. Also, check out the following advice on all other forms of contraception and how to get hold of it.

Contraception

There are many different types of contraception, be sure to practice safe sex. Use the on-campus health centres for advice or seek help from your doctor.
