Try to do regular exercise (walking to the shops, join a sports club etc.)

If you fail to watch your weight in the long term this may:

  • Effect your blood pressure
  • Effect your cholesterol
  • Diabetes – the risk in overweight adults is three times that of those with a healthy bodyweight.
  • May cause problems with your joints, e.g. arthritis
  • May cause gallstones.
