The only real place to go out in Salford itself is on the Peel Park campus, so student accommodation in close proximity to this is pretty popular.
Ordsall: this area is very popular as not only is it close to the university but it is also situated close to Manchester city centre. Transport links are good between here and the city so a good night can be sought there, and there is no need to just stay in Salford. Shopping is also a bonus of living in this area because of its proximity to the centre of Manchester.
Higher and Lower Broughton are also popular areas to find student accommodation. Security is an issue though; obviously some areas are rougher than others so it’s worth checking this out when looking in these areas.
