Edinburgh is a fantastic city and both cultural and recreational pursuits are easy to find and enjoy. This city can be a little bit expensive in certain areas.
Bruntsfield: very student friendly and very close to Napier Universities and good proximity to Edinburgh University. The centre of Edinburgh is only a 10 minute walk away, with its shops, bars and pubs.
Marchmont is also a very popular student area that is situated slightly closer to Edinburgh University. This is an excellent area to find student accommodation in Edinburgh.
Tollcross: this is student central and is excellent for Napier students. A 5 minute walk can get you to the pubs and clubs of Cowgate and Grassmarket. Grassmarket in part of the old town (home of Edinburgh’s student union) and is the centre of nightlife. Pubs and clubs are a plenty here.
Fountainbridge: 5 min walk from Tollcross, student house prices are more reasonable as they are more geared towards the student population of the city. There are plenty of things to do here, bowling, cinema and nightclubs.
Transport is good around the city and buses into the city run often.
