The town of Aberystwyth itself is a small and compact seaside town. Travelling to and from the town is not as easy or a fast as other universities but once there, there is a strong sense of community. The size of the town means that accommodation is never to far away from University or from the town cultural scene.

The nightlife in Aberystwyth is popular, pubs and bars are situated all through town with Wetherspoons, Lord Beechings and The Cambrian all residing around the main train station and bus station. There are also bars along the seafront, varsity and essential are both friendly student orientated bars en route to the seafront, and then once there, there is a selection of bars with late licences, The Inn and Pier Pressure both on the pier, The Bay and The Glen.
Most of the pubs and bars offer drinks promotions, especially if you’re carrying your NUS card.
